Aviagen and Grupo Alvorada invest in parent stock production farm

The expansion of Aviagen, a poultry genetics company that commercializes the Ross breed, continues at an accelerated pace with new investments in infrastructure, modernization and increase in production capacity, aiming to increasingly improve the quality of the supply of genetic material throughout Latin America. Aviagen announced in December that it had entered into a construction agreement for a new production farm of parent stock with Grupo Alvorada in Southwestern São Paulo state, with an expected annual capacity of 2.1 million Ross 308 AP parent stock. The new facility strictly follows biosecurity standards, focusing on the growth of its annual production of broiler breeders.
